Tokenizing Physical Gemstones as RWAs
A gemstone is an awkward RWA: high value, small size, treatments that change price, and origin stories that laboratories may or may not support. Tokenizing it only works if those facts sit in the file before a token exists.
Gem-specific steps
- Species, variety, weight, cut and treatment disclosure.
- Independent report (SSEF, GΓΌbelin, GIA, GRS, IGI β as applicable).
- Sealed parcel and vault log. See custody.
- A Digital Asset Passport that a third party can read.
- Token terms that explain redemption.
