Burmese Ruby

Burmese ruby β€” often from the Mogok region in Myanmar β€” is the origin most associated with highly saturated β€œpigeon’s blood” red. Origin is an opinion on a laboratory report, not a guarantee written in the crystal.

What collectors look for

  • Hue and saturation without looking dark.
  • Little or no heat treatment, when a lab will say so.
  • A report from a lab that actually offers origin opinions (SSEF, GΓΌbelin, GRS, among others).
